WW1 & WW2 MEMORIAL TREE PLANTING

Remembrance ActTo commemorate the 100 year anniversary of The First World War the National Trust has agreed to a request from The Chideock Society to allow anyone who lost a family member in either WW1 or WW2 to place a wooden name tag on a tree they may plant as part of the Woodland Trust iniaitive.  The name tags are being made by a local carpenter and if you would like to plant a memorial tree please or require more information please contact Kate Geraghty on 489422 or any Committee Member by November 15th.

On Saturday 29th Novembermore planting of trees provided by The Woodland Trust to continue the project started in 2012 replacing old boundary hedgerows in an area known as ‘Puddletons’ on East Cliff, Seatown which belongs to the National Trust.
