Reformation and Renaissance – Parnham Voices

On Saturday, 21st October commencing at 7-30pm, Parnham Voices, the Beaminster based a capella choir, will be performing a concert in St. Giles church, Chideock, entitled Reformation and Renaissance, in aid of Church funds. This concert will feature music from the renaissance period by Marenzio, Lobo and Victoria as well as the English composer Thomas Tallis, and a miscellany of pieces from other traditions. Tickets cost £8 and are available from the Village Shop or by telephoning 01297 489417. Wine and soft drinks will be available in the interval with donations going to church funds.

This small chamber choir, formed in 2002, has performed in many venues including Bath Abbey, Milton Abbey and Sherborne Abbey. They have performed at the Beaminster Festival in their own right, as well as in support of Armonico Consort (Armonico Consort is a critically acclaimed UK choir and instrumental ensemble renowned for its inspiring concerts and imaginative singing education programme, AC Academy.) In September, they will once again be working with Armonico for a performance in The Octagon, Yeovil.
