New to the Village or just want to get to know people and make new friends? ….. Why not join the WI?
Chideock WI is a friendly group of ladies who meet once a month in the Village Hall for a formal meeting with a speaker. In between these we have a number of active groups meeting. We get together at various venues around the area for Lunch and Natter every other month; we have a very active Craft Group who meet monthly and use their skills to make items such as mastectomy cushions for cancer patients and book bags full of handmade goodies to assist young people to read: our Book Group meets monthly in The George Inn to discuss an interesting variety of books over a light lunch; our Walking Group meets regularly to enjoy the fabulous walks around Chideock, often ending with tea at a member’s house.
Over the years Chideock WI has raised a considerable amount of money for the local community through fundraising events, supporting the Village Hall, the Church, the Defibrillator for Chideock and others.
We would love you to come along to one of our meetings and find out a bit more about us.
Give Bev Taylor a call on 01297 489302 or Mary Rogers on 01297 489452 and they will make sure that you are made very welcome or contact us by email at email@example.com
We hope to provide an open, friendly and supportive environment that inspires women to learn new skills, discover new interests and share experiences. We are a friendly bunch who have fun and although most of us don’t make jam, we do enjoy a cup of tea and a good chat.
See you soon!
