‘Tea at the Chideock Ritz’ was a huge success and raised £635.50 for Weldmar Hospicecare Trust. The afternoon began with a glass of fizz and then appeared a wonderful array of sandwiches, cakes and scones. This was the Chideock Fundraising Committee’s first venture into afternoon teas and proved such a success that we all feel it could be an annual event.
Thanks goes to the continued support of our guests, some who really entered into the spirit of the occasion and turned up in their posh frocks and wonderful hats and of course the whole thing just wouldn’t be possible without the hard work of the committee who made all the sandwiches, cakes and scones.
