A great evening of entertainment was held in the village hall on Thursday and Friday 6th and 7th June.  The Chideock Players presented a One Act Play based in a Convent with the ‘Sisters’ played by Alyssa West, Di Dowle, Iris Jones, Val Cowell, Pam Ladd and Pam Fuller. Directed by Val Cowell, assisted by Nick Baker the curtain came down to rousing applause.  This was followed by eight Sketches and Recitations. ‘Fanny & Biddy’ played by Hilary Baker and Natalie Williams featured in two sketches with the ‘chat’ by the two old ladies bringing much laughter from the audience. Ian Dunn played and sang to his guitar, Marcus Wood sang and played the keyboard and Leigh Conley, Tom Staple, Mike Dowling and Tom Staple had the audience in hysterics with their short sketches.  Jim Pettifer was Compere for the evening and brought much laughter with his jokes and tales.  All in all a brilliant evening enjoyed by all who attended.
